Meet Clay

One of the owners of Clay and Co Hair Design.

Clay has been in the industry for 28 years, after starting his apprenticeship when he was 17 years old at Mr James International in Brisbane.

Since then he has won over 90 industry awards, represented Australia on a national stage, been part of Melbourne fashion week, and has become a master of his craft.

Clay always had a dream of owning his own salon, and this became a reality in 2020, alongside his partner Alicia.

He always wanted to create an intimate space, where he could create his own brand, with his clients, which are the people he loves.

His love of what he does with his tools, working with the products he loves, and the brands he loves, allows him to create an amazing experience for his clients.

Senior Stylist + Colorist

Meet Claire. With over 18 yrs in the industry, Claire has a passion for all things hair. and a wealth of knowledge behind her.

Her favorites include cuts, colour, fun and edgy

styles, long hair and working with curly hair. Claire is also amazing at hair extensions and Cezanne treatments.

She is a solid all rounder.

We love that she has a quick witty sense of humour, loves a good laugh and most definitely has a cheeky side which will keep you on your toes. A perfect fit to our team.

Meet Alicia, the other business owner of Clay and Co Hair Design.

When Alicia isn’t running her Wallpaper Business she is running everything behind the scenes at Clay and Co. This allows us to focus on being creative, and taking care of our clients.

Alicia is passionate about client experience, business planning and growth, and most importantly the staff. She believes in investing in people, and making sure that everyone feels valued in the business.

Everyone that works with Alicia will say that she is motivating, caring, and a go getter.

She was excited about starting a small business with her partner Clay. She saw an opportunity, and made it happen.

She is also a stand up comedian, and a marriage celebrant, we can’t keep her still.

Her dreams and goals for the business, will see Clay and Co Hair Design be a successful long term business, where staff and clients will continually enjoy coming in the door.

Specialising in both cutting-edge cuts and colour, Millie’s number one choice for vibrant, long-lasting results is L’Oreal. With a flair for creating modern, personalised looks, her skills and creativity have fueled her successful career from a young age.
